Christine Manetta is an Australian Singer and Songwriter.

Christine Manetta, cuts straight to the emotional core, sharing genuine and heartfelt anthem-style songs that empower women, connecting with her audiences with an immediate warmth and intimacy.

 

A mix of rhythmic influences and lyrical melodies, paralleled with a vocal style that transcends from soaring power through to, sultry, down to earth warmth.

A classy eclectic album transcending genres, from Contemporary Ska and Swing Blues to Funky Soul Jazz intertwined with Afro-Beats and touches of Hip Hop and Electronica Howler Blues. An Album filled with pumping energetic organ sounds, hot percussion grooves and sinewy horn riffs.

 

An accomplished performer, with an electric stage presence, Christine presents a distinctive blend of energy driven music; singing with passion, honesty, guts and a musical truth of each song’s story.

Beginning her singing career later in life, coming from a background in Psychoacoustics (The study of the perception of sound and its impact and entrainment on the human body), Music and Singing, which had been Christine’s dream since the age of nine, followed as a nature transition. Along the way receiving Vocal and Music Theory tuition from Dr Nela Trifkovic (PhD Music/Performance Making. Fine Arts/Music. Melbourne - VCA /Conservatorium) and Julie O’Hara (Popular Music/Monash University).

 

Initially being mentored by Wendy Stapleton and Paul Norton. Christine soon established herself in Melbourne’s dynamic Live Music Scene. A sought out diverse performer of Jazz, Blues, Rock, Soul and even Urban Cabaret Theatre. Working at many venues across Melbourne and Regional Victoria and New South Wales including the Albury Entertainment Centre, Capital Theatre Bendigo and Deakin Edge - Federation Square Melbourne. In 2014, forming – MOJO SISTAS, with a career highlight to be invited to perform at Melbourne’s renown Antipode festival to a crowd of over 10,000 people.

Also known for her Self - Produced Shows as Artist Director and Performer, Christine has toured the shows; Love Me or Leave Me - A Tribute to Nina Simone, encapsulating the essence of her greatest influence, and Dames and Divas, over the last five years at Festivals: Docklands Blues, Halls Gap, Victorian Seniors, Grampians, Port Fairy, Inverloch and Castlemaine Jazz.

As Artistic Director, Singer and Songwriter Christine Manetta has collaborated with Pianist and Musical Director Adam Rudegeair, to produce this significant album with themes of Resilience and Celebrations of Triumphs and underlying intertwined grooves and beats inspired by Christine’s European and Egyptian heritage. This much awaited Debut Album has been two years in the making and scheduled for release in 2021.
